    INTERIOR SILICATE PAINT

    Technical Information Sheet

    Characteristics Ready to use, solvent free mineral paint (DIN 18 363/Section 2.4.1.). Fast drying, well-covering, washable, scratch proof, incombustible, breathing wall paint. Its alkalinity has a sterilizing effect. No casein, beeswax or propolis therefore suitable to Vegan.

    Ingredients Water, waterglass, chalk, mica, titanium dioxide, acrylic dispersion, polysaccharid, sodium phosphonates, organic ammonium coumpound, fatty acid polyether derivate.

    Application Especially suitable for all public places on old and new lime plasters, lime-cement plasters, concrete, sandstone and similar mineral surfaces. Also suitable for old mineral and dispersion paints. Ideal for wet rooms. Surfaces containing gypsum should be primed with Fixative.

    Preliminary treatment Surface must be firm and clean. Remove old coats of latex, oil and synthetic resin paints. Shuttering oil must be thoroughly removed (steam blasting). Repair cracks in the plaster with an appropriate filler, eg Silicate Undercoat.
    Allow concrete and plaster to dry for the appropriate period:

    concrete 30 days
    plaster 10 days

    Directions for use Stir well. Apply two coats to new plaster or concrete. The first coat can be thinned with 5-10% water, the second, if necessary, with 3-5% water. The paint can be brushed, rolled or sprayed (airless). Can be tinted with the Silicate Colorizers or the Powder Pigments . Do not use below 5°C.

    Drying Can be painted over after approx. 5 hours. Before applying lasur technique, allow to dry for at least 24 hours. Ventilate well.

    Coverage One litre covers approx. 9 m², depending on the surface.

    Cleaning of
    implements

    Clean immediately after use with copious amounts of water and soap or with Napona.

    Storage

    Keep in a cool and dry place. Protect against frost. Used opened containers as quickly as possible. Should keep for approx. one year if stored properly.

    Warning : Danger of solidifying if kept too warm.


    Safety Precautions Careful. Highly alkine. Wash splashes on glass, clinker brick, stone, aluminium and wood immediately with copious amounts of water. Do not flush. Keep out of children's reach.

    Disposal Clean containers and recycle. Leave left over to dry and dispose of with household rubbish.
