| Characteristics | A
high-quality product consisting of natural raw materials. It makes an
open-pored, silky-matt, water- repellent finish that shows little or no
yellowing. Stone Oil can be used as a colourless or transparently
coloured primer and top coat for all mineral surfaces like cement, concrete,
cotto, terazzo and natural stone paving. |
| Ingredients | Aliphatic hydrocarbons,
castor oil, safflor oil, colophony resin ester, clay, cobalt, zirconium,
mangan and zinc octoate driers, silicic acids, citrus peel oil, microwax. |
| Preliminary treatment | Surface
must be clean, free from grease, alkalically neutral and dry (less than
1.5 CM % moisture), anhydrous floor less than 0.5 CM %). It is advisable
to sand and clean the surface beforehand (except stone and terazzo). Floor
temperature should be at least 16° C. If used on floors with under-floor
heating, turn off the heating before applying the Stone Oil, then
gradually turn on to full over the course of three days. Turn off 24 hours
beforehand and turn on gradually over 72 hours afterwards. Increase water
temperature by 5° C per day up to 30° C. |
| Directions for use | Apply
three coats of Stone Oil with a short-haired roller, taking care
to spread it evenly. When colour concentrates are used for the primer
coat and second coat, use 10-30% Stone Oil Colour Concentrates,
depending on the required intensity. For the top coat always use transparent
oil without pigments. Make a trial first! Important: Make sure to ventilate well when working with the product and while it is drying! |
| Drying | Can
be sanded and recoated after 16-24 hours (20° C/50-55% relative air moisture).
The floor can be used carefully after three days. Fully hardened after
7-14 days. |
| Coverage | Depends on the absorbency
of the surface: primer coat 8-12 mē per litre. Second coat and top coat
10-16 mē per litre. |
| Maintenance | Naplana in
washing water. On heavily used surfaces, apply undiluted. Please consult
data sheet Naplana and Maintenance advice for oiled floors. |
| Cleaning of implements |
Clean
immediately after use with Thinner. |
| Storage | Keep in a cool
and dry place. Put remains into smaller container and seal well to prevent
skin. Remove skin before using again. |
| Safety precautions | Flammable
Class A III! Danger of spontaneous combustion! Keep rags soaked in Colour Concentrates in water or allow to dry out completely on a non-combustible surface. Keep away from children. The raw materials used can cause a smell that is typical of the product. |
| Disposal | Clean out containers
and take them to a recycling centre. Do not dispose of solvent-based products
carelessly. Dried-out leftovers can be disposed of with your household
rubbish. |
