    WOOD PRESERVATIVE

    Technical Information Sheet

    Characteristics Contains natural asphalt, natural resins, vegetable oils and natural solvents. It is a good alternative for creosote, penetrating deeply into the wood and giving it a dark brown colour.

    Ingredients Aliphatic hydrocarbons, natural asphalt, linseed oil, castor oil, colophony resin ester, citrus peel oil, cobalt, zirconium and calcium octoate driers.

    Application Suitable for garden fences and posts, cold frames, sheds, wooden playing-ground structures. Also for priming wood prior to treating with Natural Asphalt Lacquer.

    Preliminary treatment Surface must be smooth, dry (max. wood moisture 14%) and free of grease. If necessary, clean with Thinner. Remove flaking old paint, otherwise clean and sand.

    Directions for use Stir thoroughly before using. Apply three coats by brushing or spraying. Wood in constant contact with the earth must be protected with a coat of undiluted Natural Asphalt Lacquer. Do not use below 8° C.

    Important: Make sure to ventilate well when working with the product and while it is drying.

    Drying Dry after 4-6 hours (20-23° C/50-55% relative air moisture). Can be repainted after 16-24 hours. Fully hardened after 7 days.

    Coverage One litre will cover 8 - 12 mē.

    Cleaning of
    implements
    Clean with Thinner. Leave thinner to stand, decant clean liquid and use again.

    Storage

    Keep in a cool and dry place. Keep leftovers in smaller containers and close well to prevent skin.

    Safety Precautions Flammable Class A III! Danger of spontaneous combustion!

    Keep rags soaked in wood preservative in water or allow to dry out completely on an incombustible surface. After that, remove with household rubbish. Keep away from children.

    The raw materials used can cause a smell that is typical of the product.


    Disposal Ask advice about quantities needed in order to prevent leftovers. Clean out containers and take for recycling. Do not dispose of solvent-based products carelessly. Dried-out leftovers can be disposed of with your household rubbish.
