| Characteristics | Water-soluble,
solvent-free wall emulsion made from natural raw materials, giving a silky
matt finish. Covers well, has a neutral smell, dries fast and allows walls
to breathe. Resistant to washing and scouring. |
| Ingredients | Water, chalk, titanium-dioxide,
talcum, linseed oil, diatomaceous earth, cellulose, Turkey red oil, borax,
casein, bergamot oil. |
| Application | For all solid interior
surfaces, e.g. plaster, concrete, plasterboard, fibre board and wallpaper.
Also for redecorating walls painted with conventional wall paints which
are clean and dust free. Used as base for the veil-painting technique
with BIOFA veil-painting colours. |
| Preliminary treatment | Surfaces must be
solid, dry and clean. Remove old lime and gloss paints or roughen to give
a key. Prirne crumbly and highly absorbent surfaces and new plaster with
Sealing Primer (mix 1:1 with water and add 10-20% Wall Emulsion)
or with highly diluted Wall Emulsion (max. 50% water). New concrete
or lime-and-cement plaster should be allowed to cure for at least 6 weeks.
Consult table on back. |
| Directions for use | Stir
well. For the first coat, add approx. 5% water. On new wood chip wallpaper
or light colours, one full coat is usually sufficient. Can be rolled,
brushed and sprayed (airless; nozzle 0.53 mm, spraying pressure 200 bars).
Do not use below 5° C. |
| Drying | Allow
to dry for 4 hours before repainting. Dry after 12-16 hours (20-23° C/50-55%
rel. air moisture). Ventilate well. Before veil-painting, allow to to
dry for at least 24 hours. |
| Coverage | One litre will cover
8-9 m2. Coverage depends on surface absorbency. |
| Cleaning of implements |
Clean
immediately after use with water and soap. |
| Storage | Store in a cool place, but
protect against frost. Use up opened containers as quickly as possible.
Unopened containers will hold for at least one year. |
| Safety precautions | Even
natural paints should not be flushed away and must be kept out of the
reach of children. |
| Disposal | Clean containers
and take to a recycling centre. Leave liquid leftovers to dry and dispose
of with your household rubbish. |
