It was stripped back to the bare cob, a scat coat of lime putty mortar 3.5/1 unhaired gauged with Metastar 402 applied and allowed to harden.

Lime putty mortar 3.5/1 haired gauged with Metastar 402 was applied next to build up the levels and offer greater protection from the elements and allowed to harden.

A final coat of lime putty mortar 3.5/1 unhaired gauged with Metastar 402 just the same as the first coat was then applied and then limewashed in white.

This work was carried out in order to fit in with the aesthetics of the neighbouring properties that have a traditional rough cast finish.
