    SATINE PAINT INTERIOR

    Technical Information Sheet

Characteristics BIOFA satine paints give a well-covering, breathing, dirt and water-repellent, elastic, silky-matt finish. Once hardened, they are approved for children's toys (standard EN 71, part 3, as well as DIN 53160). They adhere well to wood and are sweat and saliva proof.

Ingredients Castor oil, colophony resin ester, safflower oil, feldspar, aluminium silicate, aliphatic hydrocarbons, citrus peel oil, zinc oxide, cobalt, zirconium and zinc-octoate driers, clay, ethanol. Added pigments as per colour: titanium dioxide (1110), titanium-dioxide, silicic acids, talcum (1115), spinel yellow (1125), spinel yellow (1130), paliogen red (1145), spinel blue (1155), spinel green (1165), ferric oxide brown (1175), ferric oxide black, soot (1195).

Application Suitable for all interior timber, e.g. windows, doors, stair banisters, panelling, furniture, toys, etc. Also suitable for metal after priming with Rust Primer.

Preliminary treatment Surface must be smooth, dry (max. moisture: 14%) and free from grease. If necessary, clean with Thinner. Remove flaking old paint, otherwise clean and sand carefully. Prime timber with Undercoat. Prime interior metal prone to rust, as well as zinc and galvanized surfaces with Rust Primer.

Directions for use Stir thoroughly before using and if necessary, thin with Thinner. Can be brushed, rolled or sprayed (spraying specifications: firm after 25-30 seconds, nozzle 1-1.5 mm, pressure 3-4 bars). Do not apply below 12°C and in high air moisture, as it would slow down drying and cause bad finish. A minimum of 2 thin coats is recommended.

Important: make sure to ventilate well when working with the product while it is drying!

Drying Dry after 16-20 hours (20-23°C/50-55% relative air moisture). Can be sanded and recoated after 24 hours. Fully hardened after 7 days.

Coverage One litre will cover 10-12 m².

    Cleaning of
    implements
Clean with Thinner. Leave thinner to stand, wait for paint to settle, decant clean liquid and use again.

Storage Seal well and keep in a cool dry place. Keep leftovers in smaller containers and close well to prevent skin.

Safety precautions Flammable, Class A III. Danger of spontaneous combustion!

Keep rags soaked with oil based products in water or allow to dry out completely by spreading on a non-combustible surface and dispose of with your household rubbish. Keep away from children.
The raw material used can cause a smell that is typical of the product.

Disposal Ask advice about quantities to prevent leftovers. Clean containers and take to a recycling centre. Do not dispose of solvent-based products carelessly. Dried-out leftovers can be disposed of with your household rubbish.
