Paint Scandinavian
Paint is a coloured protective paint for exterior timber. It is especially
suitable for the preservation of sawn timber such as fencing and weatherboards
and on buildings such as barns and stables. |
| Properties | Scandinavian
Paint Scandinavian Paint has been specially formulated from historic paint recipes using
modern paint technology and environmental science. It is a water-based paint made from
linseed oil and mineral pigments. It is light fast, water-resistant and weatherproof.

| Coverage | Approximately 6 square metres per litre when undiluted. Up to 10m2 when diluted to form a semi opaque stain. Coverage depends on the absorbency and the cut of the timber. |
| Preparation | The surface must be sound, absorbent and dry. It must also be clean, dust and grease free. For dirty surfaces wire brushing is also recommended to remove algae, mould, etc. |
| Application |
Stir well before use. Stirring will break the structure of the paint, allowing easier application. Apply with a roller or brush. If required a second coat can be applied this may be necessary on untreated timber. Thin as required with water. To create a wash effect you can dilute
Scandinavian paint by up to 30% with water. |
| Drying Time | Touch dry after 2 hours, but allow 3 - 4 hours drying time between coats |
| Cleaning | Wash brushes with warm water. |
| Storage | Keep containers
tightly sealed in a cool, dry and frost-free place. Shelf life is one
year for unopened containers. |

| Ingredients | Water, Irish Moss (carrageenan), guar gum, mineral oxides and sulphates, linseed oil, thyme oil preservative. |
