| Characteristics | White,
non-porous sealer made from natural raw materials. Seals in stains caused
by water leaks, nicotine, grease and other substances, stopping them from
penetrating later coats of paint. It is waterproof, solvent-based, and
can be thinned with Thinner. Adheres well to plaster and wood. |
| Ingredients | Castor oil, colophony-glycerine
ester, citrus peel oil, aliphatic hydrocarbons, titanium dioxide, cobalt-
zirconium-calcium-octoate drier, chalk, talcum. |
| Application | For sealing especially
difficult and stubborn stains (water, nicotine, grease) which defeat Sealing
Primer. Can also be used to prime extremely porous surfaces
before painting. In difficult cases it is advisable to make a trial first. |
| Preliminary treatment | Surface must be
solid and free from dirt and grease. Brush off any loose material. |
| Directions for use | Stir
thoroughly. Can be brushed, rolled or sprayed, and thinned with Thinner.
When spraying, ventilate well. After application the surface must be evenly
covered; if it isn't, repeat with thin coat when the first coat has dried. |
| Drying | Depending
on the surface, but on the average ready for painting after 16 hours (20-23°C/
50-55% relative air moisture). |
| Coverage | One litre will cover
8 - 10 m², depending on the absorbency of the surface. |
| Cleaning of implements |
Clean
with Thinner. To re-use thinner, allow dirt to settle and decant. |
| Storage | Seal well and
keep in a cool, dry place. A skin can form on opened containers. To prevent
this, cover surface with Thinner
or pour into smaller container. |
| Safety precautions | Flammable!
Danger of spontaneous combustion! Store rags with Special Sealing Primer in water or allow to dry out. Keep away from children. |
| Disposal | Ask advice about
quantities to prevent leftovers. Clean out containers and take to a recycling
centre. Leave remains to dry and dispose of with your household rubbish. |
