    WATER-BASED EGGSHELL

    Technical Information Sheet

    Description Water-based Eggshell is a tough, high-opacity multi-surface acrylic paint for use in many interior applications. It dries to a smooth eggshell finish with outstanding water-resistance and excellent adhesion. Recommended for use in kitchens and bathrooms. Virtually solvent-free, it has a very low odour during application.

    Surfaces Suitably primed woodwork, primed iron and steel surfaces, MDF, aluminium, copper, PVC. Ideal for kitchens, bathrooms and for use on radiators.

    Colour Pure White, Vanilla, Linen, Straw, Oatmeal, Pearl, Birch, Cotswold Stone, Blossom, Lilac, Duck Egg, Sky Blue, Sage, Smoke, Dusk, Coral and Terracotta.

    Spreading Rate Up to 14 square metres per litre depending on surface profile and porosity.

    Drying Rate Touch dry in 1 - 2 hours. Recoatable in 4 hours.

    Preparation Surfaces must be clean, dry and free fom loose and flaking material, dirt, grease, etc. Repairs should be carried out proir to painting. Areas contaminated by fungal or algal growth should be treated with a proprietary fungicidal wash or with 25% household bleach before painting. Surfaces previously treated with oil-based paint should be lightly abraded.

    Application Stir well before use. Ready for use by brush, roller or airless spray. On porous surfaces up to 5% water may be added to assist application. On very porous surfaces, e.g. plaster, up to 25% water my be necessary. Two coats over a suitably primed surface are recommended for maximum protection.

    Clean Up Use clean water

    Precautions Always read the can label before use. Do not apply to surfaces below 5°C or if there is a risk of heavy rain or frost during application or drying.
