GekkkoSOL Lazure is a highly diffusible, colourless binding and finishing coat for wall lazures, plaster finishes and paint for interior use.
GekkkoSOL Lazure is ideal for coatings on wooden ceilings and wall-panels.
Mix with titanium white to achieve the look of whitewashed wood. Rubbed in with a sponge, this white glaze brightens wood up without looking “coated” and protects from further darkening.
GekkkoSOL Lazure is a glaze based on silicate. The product contains no solvents and is absolutely odourless.
Use for wall glazes on top of GekkkoSOL plaster and for decorative design of new, untreated wood in moderately used areas.
Mix with natural pigments to create a range of coloured finishes.
For additional protection of the surface Carnauba Wax Emulsion or Safflower Multi Purpose Wax can be applied.
- Interior use only.
- Does not yellow.
- Does not intensify wood grain.
- Easy to use.
- Low material consumption.
- Optimal permeability.
For application on wooden surfaces, use GekkkoSOL undiluted.
For strongly absorbing woods, GekkkoSOL Lazure can be diluted with up to 20% of water.
Apply GekkkoSOL Lazure with a soft brush (natural bristles) under light pressure. Change direction several times. Finally brush the lazure evenly in one direction.
An intermediate sanding (P120) is possible after the first coating has dried.
Recommended Number of Coatings
GekkkoSOL Lazure can be applied in one or more layers. We recommend not to apply more than 3 layers of undiluted lazure on wood and not more than 5 layers of the diluted lazure (ratio 1:2) on GekkkoSOL paints.
Single layer coatings are drying up matt. Following coatings increase the gloss. Too many layers of coatings might lead to a heavy gloss or cracking.
1 litre of GekkkoSOL Lazure covers approx. 10 m² per coating on even surfaces.
