Description
Kreidezeit Shellac Shielding Primer is for the blocking of stains from water, rust, soot, dye and nicotine on nearly all interior surfaces (e.g. plaster, stone, paint, wallpaper & wood).
The shellac in Shellac Shielding Primer is a natural resin which comes from animals. The resin is produced by female scales which live in thousands on certain bushes in eastern India and Thailand. The secretion of these scales covers the branches in thick layers to protect the spawn and is harvested twice a year. The raw product contains dead scales, 60 – 80% pure shellac and 4 – 6% wax.
Shellac is used e.g. in pharmacy (coats for tablets), insulating paints, polish for wood, glazes, chewing gums, inks.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not apply lime plaster over Shellac Shielding Primer.
