Product Summary

Product Description

UniBlue is a revolution in hard surface disinfectants, where one product can replace all known biocides for both high and low level disinfection against a wide range of pathogens. Also used on disfiguring and colonising growths such as yeasts and fungi. Its broad spectrum of activity means it can also be used as a replacement for most, more hazardous products containing ethanol, quats, chlorine and PHMB.

UniBlue is the first wide range disinfectant to gain Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR) Simplified Authorisation in the UK. Simplified Authorisation is granted to biocidal products manufactured from low and non-hazardous active ingredients, where the product carries no risk or hazard phrases and where no personal protective equipment is required when used.

The low hazard nature of UniBlue means that there's no need to rinse after application UniBlue is suitable for application to any water tolerant surface as well as bedding and clothing.
This could be the only disinfectant you'll need.

  • Broad spectrum disinfection for all household surfaces.
  • No gloves or other protective clothing needed.
  • No hazard warnings.
  • Simple and safe for users.
  • Non-corrosive with no discolouration.
  • High frequency use on all water tolerant surfaces, such as tables, high-chairs, toys etc.

UniBlue is a revolution in hard surface cleansers and disinfectants. The product is based on natural organic acids, commonly found in the food industry and whilst it's non-toxic and safe on the skin and for the environment, it also has a rapid, powerful, broad spectrum kill action. Because of the mode of action, target organisms cannot build-up resistance.

UniBlue has a highly effective cleaning action, comparable with most off-the-shelf detergents. For deep cleaning, apply with a cloth or spray on the surface and leave for 2- 3 minutes. Wipe the surface to remove any dirt. Repeat for heavily soiled areas. Once clean, apply UniBlue with a cloth and leave.

Simply spray the surface or wipe with a cloth or tissue soaked in UniBlue and leave. No need to rinse afterwards. UniBlue can be used as a pre-wash, sprayed onto bedding and clothing prior to going to the laundry. It can also be used on any water tolerant surface.

These are just some of the possibilities:

  • Tables and work surfaces.
  • As a laundry pre-wash spray
  • Bedding and pillows
  • Antibacterial toilet cleaner
  • Food preparation equipment and surfaces.
  • Walls, floors, door handles.
  • Toys.
  • Removing foot odour from shoes, trainers and sports kit including diving and surfing wet suits, cycle and crash helmets.
  • Antibacterial spray for nurseries.
  • Antibacterial spray for pet bedding, cat litter trays, kennels etc.
  • Cleaning wheelie bins and preventing bacterial build-up on dish washing sponges and cloths.

The chart below shows the contact time in minutes to kill certain viruses and bacteria.

What protection do I need to wear? You do not require protective equipment when using UniBlue. Skin contact presents no problem but avoid direct contact with eyes.

Are there any special storage requirements? Protect from frost, out of direct sunlight and do not mix with alkaline cleaners (like bleach). UniBlue, like all chemicals, should be stored out of reach of children

Is UniBlue safe for the environment? Yes. UniBlue is made from naturally occurring organic acids found in food.

Can I replace my current disinfection products? Yes. Replace products based on peroxide, chlorine, ethanol and others without compromising performance.

Can I use UniBlue to clean babies bottles and kitchen equipment? Yes. Clean kitchen equipment, feeding bottles etc with Uniblue (recommend rinsing after sterilizing).

How do I know it works? To achieve BPR authorization, the efficacy of the product has to be independently tested to the relevant EU standards (see chart below). Any disinfectant is classified as a biocide and has to be approved under the Biocidal Products Regulations (BPR). Check the label for the authorization number (see opposite).
If there's no number, it hasn't been authorised under BPR.

Are there any special waste disposal requirements? No. Dispose of as inert waste and recycle packaging in the normal way.

Can germs build up resistance? No. Because of the mode of action, bacteria, viruses, moulds and yeasts cannot build up resistance; target organisms are essentially melted.
